The global significance of plants cannot be overstated. Through their harvesting of the sun's energy, plants are fundamental to the creation of environments capable of supporting other forms of complex life. They provide the raw materials for many human endeavours in the form of food, clothing, energy, shelter and the complex chemicals on which our modern world is based.
Nature Plants will publish papers of the highest quality in all areas of the plant sciences, including basic and applied research into the molecular biology, physiology and ecology of plants, and investigations into the relationship between humanity and the plant kingdom..
