IUCN - International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (Switzerland)

African Primates publishes information relevant to the conservation of nonhuman primates and their ecosystems in Africa. Its aim is to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas among primatologists and conservationists

African Primates publishes information relevant to the conservation of nonhuman primates and their ecosystems in Africa. Its aim is to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas among primatologists and conservationists working with primates in Africa.
The journal serves as a forum for shorter research articles on ecology, behavior, genetics and conservation, as well as field reports on primate sightings and news of professional conferences and societies.
It is hoped that this journal will enhance the conservation of African primates by 1) increasing interest in their survival; 2) alerting people to situations where primate species and populations are under threat; and 3) providing a forum for useful debate on some of the more pressing, controversial and sensitive issues that have an impact on the conservation of these primates.
