Maydica, founded by L. Fenaroli in 1956, is dedicated to publishing high-quality original research, review articles (technical and non), short communications, and case studies in the field of genetics, genomics, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physiology, breeding, and agronomy of maize and related species. These species are mainly members of the Andropogoneae, such as Sorghum, Panicum, Pennisetum, and other relevant genera. Articles treating similar species that are receiving significant attention by plant researchers as model species (Brachypodium distachyon) or as an energy crop (Jatropa curcas) are also being welcomed by Maydica. All editorial decisions are made by the author's peers. Full documentation of the data presented, access to all data as well as evidence for the conclusions drawn are requirements for consideration of publication.
