It covers all aspects of forest research, both basic and applied, with the aim of encouraging international communication between scientists in different fields who share a common interest in forest science.

Research papers are limited to 8 printed pages; Reviews are limited to 10 printed pages; and short communications are limited to 4.
Membership in the society is not a prerequisite for publication in the journal.
