PLoS One consider the following article types: 1) systematic reviews only if the methods ensure the comprehensive and unbiased sampling of existing literature, 2) submissions describing methods, software, databases, or other tools if they follow the appropriate reporting guidelines, 3) Qualitative research only if it adheres to appropriate study design and reporting guidelines, as described in the PLOS ONE Manuscript Guidelines, and 4) Studies reporting negative results.
