Lipids, fats and oils play an ever increasing role in many aspects of health, science and technology, e.g. health requirements, metabolism, tailor-made raw materials and renewable rescources. The European Journal of Lipid Science and Technology focusses on the scientific and geographical integration of this varied spectrum ranging from lipidomics, nutrition and health to analytics, biotechnology and process engineering as well as chemistry and physical chemistry. The journal is the official organ the European Federation for the Science and Technology of Lipids (Euro Fed Lipid). EJLST welcomes papers and dossiers from the broad spectrum of lipid science, health and technology, dealing with the following topics: lipid analysis, lipidomics, molecular biology and biochemistry of lipids, cell biology, physiology, gene technology, genetic engineering (transgenic animals and plants), plant breeding for lipid production, animal and vegetable fats, lipids in food and feed, human and animal nutrition and health, lipid related diseases, clinical research and diagnostics, renewable resources, biotechnology and process engineering, chemistry and physics of lipids, lubricants and detergents, cosmetics and toiletries.
