"Letters in Applied Microbiology" provides for the rapid publication of short, high quality papers in the broad field of applied microbiology. Advances in rapid methodology are a particular feature. The journal reflects developments in biotechnology in such fields as applied microbial genetics, immunodiagnosis, cell culture and fermentation science.
Papers have a limit of approximately 4000 words, with no more than five figures and tables in total.
This journal works together with Wiley's open access journal, MicrobiologyOpen, to enable rapid publication of good quality research that is unable to be accepted for publication by our journal.
