The Journal of Soil and Water Conservation is a forum to promote creative thinking and encourage investigation of conservation issues and concerns in the area of soil, water, and related natural resources, present new research and ideas, discuss conservation concepts, policies, and viewpoints. Expertise is in the areas of: agronomy, conservation education, conservation planning, ecosystem management, environmental quality, erosion and sediment control, geology, floodplain management, farmland preservation, forage management, forestry, GIS, GPS, irrigation, mined land reclamation, nonpoint source pollution, rangeland management, soil science, sustainable agriculture, watershed management, wetland restoration, and wildlife management.
THe journal publishes research paper and the A Section containing various departments and features. A Section articles are typically between 600 and 4,000 words (including References) and include high-quality photographs. It is recommended that authors query the Director of Publications/Editor (pubs@swcs.org) regarding A Section article ideas before submitting.
