The journal is multi-disciplinary, publishing articles in all pest management disciplines, including entomology, nematology, plant pathology, weed science, and other subject areas.
Areas include: management of pests that affect row crops, forage and grasslands, horticultural crops, forests, urban landscapes, structures, schools, households, livestock and pets, and human health.
The journal will not publish articles based on original, unpublished research. Data and results from original research are better suited for research-focused journals, such as the Journal of Economic Entomology (published by ESA), Plant Disease (published by the American Phytopathological Society), or Weed Technology (published by the Weed Science Society of America).
Articles should be written for one of the three following categories: Profiles (biology and ecology profiles for insects pests), Issues (emerging integrated pest management issues), and Recommendations in pest management.
